Hey guys, I’m pretty lost with this but I’m going to be purchasing a motherboard and I need it to support both of my graphics cards for GPU rendering. My question is the motherboard has two slots for graphics cards. One is a Gen4 x16 slot and the other a Gen4 x4 slot. So since my GPUs are gen3 pcie cards does this mean that if I put my GPU (1070 ti) into a Gen4 x4 socket it will have the equivalent bandwidth of a gen 3 x8 slot? Thanks guys!
